SONA Super Studio is a one-week intensive national design competition that gives architecture students license to explore highly creative responses to a design brief. The concept design proposals are then visually and verbally presented in person, in a predesignated time- and space-limited format, to a panel of industry professionals.

Super Studio connects students with industry and provides mentorship and exposure to real-world architectural practices. The event showcased the creativity and theoretical knowledge of up and coming architects. It was truly inspiring to see the capabilties of these future professionals. It was also very pleasing to see that a member of the winning Victorian team had attended, the previous month, the immersive workshop jointly presented by VEAC and SONA, Empathetic Architecture: Exploring inclusive design through mobility aid use simulations.
